The Valley of Alshar

This classic SP pack by Mick Beard (a.k.a. VerMoorD) dates back to late 1998 and features three rather large, atmospheric maps representing quite a high quality by the standards of their time.

The story goes:

While out on routine patrol, you slip down a steep ledge and end up slightly dazed in a shallow valley. Your partner 'BLAKE' shouts and tells you to stay put while he goes for help. You soon realize that you have quite possibly stumbled into the rumoured "Valley of ALSHAR" a beautiful area supposedly inhabited by your friends and allies... the NALI, a peaceful race often victimised and oppressed by your sworn enemy.. .the SKAARJ!! Perhaps "staying put" is not such a good idea, the night is drawing in and the temperature is droping quickly... Its going to be a while before your partner returns with help...Maybe you can find one of the friendly Nali and rest in comfort while you wait!

The map pack used to be unplayable for a long time due to issues that were suspected to be related to incompatible Unreal versions, but with the author's help and permission it was fixed and repackaged by Hellscrag who released this final version on 4th September, 2004. It is now also fully compatible with Unreal Tournament and Oldskool Amp'd.
