The Crash

An early (although not the earliest) gem from DavidM with mostly standard primitives thrown on top or each other. OK, a little bit more than that. It is a nice piece of mapping history because it shows that everybody starts somewhere… But don’t worry, it is certainly far from the worst maps ever created and also has a few cool ideas, like the Skaarj “costume” the player can (well, has to, actually) put on to avoid being attacked. Not sure if it was the first time someone did this in Unreal single player mapping, but we think it is.

As for the story and instructions on how to play it, the author’s fun readme file pretty much covers it:

You crash with your shuttle on a alienplanet. Play it to see how come to there. In the second part you have a Skaarjcostume and the Skaarj will be friendly to you. The level especially the second is for very hard. Its for profis NOT FOR CHEATER!!!
